I think every game has its goods and its bad qualities. For me FFVIII was a very good game, although some things could've been better. But that also counts for FFVII, FFIX,...... and other non-FF games....
Like in FF X-2 I really hated Yuna (I never liked her anyway :-d), and I also think that certain GF's in VII are "like so lame"....
But I do think this could prove to be a very interesting topic
