I hate final fantasy VIII

Why don't you explain to me how exactly I am "forcing my opinion" on you? I'm not going to lable every statement I make with "This is My Opinion" or "This Is Fact." If you can't realize what's fact and what's not, especially in a thread which is in regards to which FF is the best, then you're on your own.

It's not a question of whether your first Final Fantasy was FFVIII- the game would still be the best in the series regardless, and anyone who doesn't like it is simply in denial that such a monumental achievement came along and destroyed their previous conceptions of what great story, great game play, and great characters are.

Dude, seriously, edit your post. You have the tendecy double post alot. Anyway, I was adressing the fact that people always say that FF8 is their favorite, because it was their first. It isn't the best in the series...that's exactly why I dislike 8 so much now. Because people can't see the flaws in EVERY game. Especially ANY Final Fantasy game. You're the pot calling the kettle black by saying other people are in denial. You can not face the fact that this game is not peferction; no game is. And FF8 wasn't the FF that recieved the most "monumental achievement". That was FF7... we've been down this road already. As for the characters my opinion is still set; I hate them. I liked some of the story and gameplay. Also, it's still a good game. But I'm tired of the over obssesed fans. ~Fin~

I'm not going to change my opinions so they can match what your conceptions of what you consider to be "flaws." Final Fantasy VIII WAS the greatest monumental achievement in the history of interactive entertainment, and the only reason others cannot see it is because they were so in love with their second rate FFVII, that they could not possibly accept the idea that a better game came along.

Your concept of perfection is different than my concept of perfection. FFVIII WAS PERFECTION, so deal with it. The characters, game play, and story line were perfection incarnate. Like I stated above, I'm not going to stamp a lable on each statement I make which says "This is My Opinion." If you can't realize what is opinion and what is fact, then I can't help you.
