Laguna's fascination with Julia was purely an idealism thing. Yknow, the beautiful performer who's very distant. A kind of romatic ideal. Just look at how nervous he is with her. With Raine, he was a lot more relaxed and himself. Personally I don't think he would have been as happy with Julia as he obviously was with Raine.

Also, I chose Raine, like someone else said - I think Julia was just a crush. He never really got to know her, nor she him. They just had one night of chatting.
I would say Raine, because he should definately take care of his baby's mama and pay his child support. But since (SPOILER)she died I guess he should just rot in loneliness for the rest of his video-game characters existence. Sounds depressing? I know.
I say Raine definetly because she was the one who nursed him back to health when he was injured. As for Julia, I agree with what people said previously: She was only a crush. And even, if he was with Julia, Squall and Rinoa probably wouldn't exist, and then we wouldn't have this WONDERFUL game!!!
Hmmm good point. But then we enter into the nature versus nurture (would she be such a dope if raised by different parents, and is it Caraway's genes that make her such a twit) and the fact that I probably wouldnt have to deal with her if this were the case... but dont ruin my fantasy! xD
