I love New Zealand for its fun people and georgeous scenery! I'm sorry to hear that tenhitcombo is having such a rough time making friends there. I'm a New Zealander and I was a pretty avid gamer at one point. But at no point did I go to school and think "Man let's talk about video games!" Video games are meant to be played, not talked about at school. Then again, sport isn't much more as a conversation piece outside of stuff like transfer speculation and selections. Otherwise it's "Man, did you see that try?" "Yeah it was awesome!" "Yeah!" "...yeah!" and that's about it. But video games? "Man did you play this game isn't the story good?" "Yeah it was awesome!" "Yeah!" "...yeah!"

So no, NZ doesn't suck, your ideas for conversations suck. Play video games, watch/play sport, talk about other things.

I know quite a few people who wanted to move to new zealand but didn't stay because they said it was boring and had no nightlife.
