It started with EGM's rumor section, which makes it unlikely. Plus, a Square Enix PR rep suggested that it could be an April's Fools joke. 1up denies this suggestion, but it still doesn't make the rumor anything more than a rumor. *shrugs* Have to wait til E3 to know for sure.
