What if two people make the same thread?

Then we give people the same response. If it becomes a regular thing or an intentional thing that you both make the same thread then we can just mess around with forum masks so that you can't make threads, either. 8-)

If a lot of people legitimately make the same thread we'll either make an announcement in Feedback regarding this issue or add it to the FAQ.

'twas either that or close it entirely. And no, it's not - you'd be surprised just how many people send PMs to more than one staff member every time they have a query. Also, the vast amount of threads made in Feedback don't require public discussion. If threads are made specifically for staff to look into in GC etc. then the threads will be closed saying that you should either send a PM or make a thread in the TttS forum.

EDIT: It was never expected that Feedback regulars would like it, mind you. But it gets rid of a problem while still allowing people to raise issues outside of PMs.

I like the new feedback setup but I think that it would be more useful if everyone else had read-only access to the other threads so they could see what others are feedbacking on. It would still eliminate spam and off-topicness but it would would allow everyone to stay informed on any issues and such.

Yeah, that was what I thought they were going to do and I think it'd be better. It seems to work well enough at a <a href="http://www.iidb.org/vbb/index.php">much busier message board</a>.
