When I move to Germany will I be able to play off my account, or is there some reason it won't work.

Considering the fact that Europeans successfully imported the game from the United States before the PAL release, I assume that you'll be fine.

Yeah, it's not like you're using a norwegian credit card to pay or anything.

You can login to any version of the client software using any account. i.e: existing PC players will be able to login to the 360 version, I can login on my friends PC using his software even though my account is a US Version and his software is EU version.

All that you need to be aware of is the fact that if you purchase expansion packs you need to obtain a copy from the same region as your original software. For example, my copy of FFXI is US Import. To play Treasures of Aht Urhgan, I need to buy a US version of the game. If I bought an EU version it would not work.

In the same sense, my friend has an EU version. He needs an EU copy to get it to work.

However, we can both login on either version once we're registered.

Thats all the problems you're likely to encounter when you move regarding FFXI.
