I only had Shiva, Ifirit, and Quezacotl(sp?) when I got to Disc 3.I didn't draw Siren, Carbuncle, Leviathan, Pandemona, or Alexander. i fought Diablos once and lost, so I never fought him again. I didn't go to get Tonberry. I got the number of the Tomb of The Unknown King and left without Brothers. And in the funniest one of all, I saw Cerberus sitting in the Garden and walked right around like he wasn't thier. I thought he was just a big monster.

My first time playing FFVII was not that bad.
I missed Eden, Pandemona, Tonberry and Leviathan, 'cause I was to scared of the bosses who carried them and simply threw anything I had at the bosses to defeat them as quick as possible.
I spent a week to find the damn gakking White Seed ship. I couldn't find them and threw the game in a Corner and cried aloud in despair and inability. After my little crazy phase, i tried again and wooohooo i found the damn White Seeds.
Oh yeah I missed a load of GFs the first time round also. And yeah locating the White SeeDs was annoying. Such a pain.
the first time, I rocked at FF now this is FF, i found every GF except for Bahamut and Alexander, but I was doing very good at it, disc 2 froze though.
I got through all the way to disk 4 with upper twenty-lower thrity level characters without knowing what the heck I was doing.
I done ok but I relied entirely on selphie n rinoas limit breaks. I learnt how to boost and junction really quick but when i got to Adel i was totally owned my characters sucked coz rinoa had all the healing magic n my characters were Squall lvl 29
selphie lvl 28 and irvine lvl 17. i got owned . i was pissed at seifer for taking away odin and givin me gilgamesh i was so annoyed at ultimecia on my third game when he came. i was like ha ur gonna get owned then he dealt 1 damage i got mega pissed off
I Was Like 10 when i first played it.. Didnt Understand How to junction.. SOMEHOW managed to get to disk four on a pathetic amount of HP. Now i Never use magic..Only For Junctioning. i always Use Meltdown>Aura>Renzokuken/Shot/Duel.. Kills stuff like that. i also only had the twin lance up til the end. i rememeber the 1st time i did the final battle. i had 9999 luckily. but i kept tripling ultima and stuff. took days! nowadays its easy. i killed the first 3 stages of the boss pretty much instantly. the last one takes ages..luckily the lionheart whooped her!
Wo, I thought I was the first one to all these things. I'm still actually on my first go through, I've just got to the fourth disc, and Adel kepps owning me. I've basically gone through the entire game just using GFs for every battle (even the random field battles) I think my highlest level person is Squall at like, 35. Luckily I saved it disc 3 whilst the world is all still there the same.
So questions... All of you keep mentioning boost. What's that? Seems I've done the same as everybody else. At the moment I'm just trying to work out how to use the whole junction thing, and getting some good magic to junction. I've got a good few GFs actually. That's basically all I ever use.
I never use limit breaks or anything. I think the only thing other than GFs I use is magic like hast and protect. That's it.

I get embarassed when I talk about my first game. O.k. Here it goes. By the time I had gotten to Ultimecia's castle, I didn't know how to Junction, so I was doing, at the most, 1500 damage per hit, with Squall. Squall was at level 74 and was using Cutting trigger, no spells junctioned, Rinoa was at level 29, using Rising Sun, no spells junctioned, and Zell was at level 32, first weapon, no spells equipped. That was my party. I was missing Bahamut, Doomtrain, Cactuar, Tonberry, Siren, Brothers, Alexander, and Eden. I didn't get everything or understand anything until my 3rd playthrough, which is my perfect best file.
My brothers and I were new to RPGs so we didn't understand how to do a lot of things. The first place we got stuck on in our first game was Switching characters in Galbadia Garden. Although we had done it lots of times before getting there, everything seemed to change when they gave a tutorial on switching. It took us a good 20 minutes before we could figure out how to Switch. Secondly, we got stuck on the boss in the Missle Base because we didn't know how to junction spells or GFs on any other character than Squall. Again, FFVIII was one of our first games (it was our first RPG as well) so we didn't know the full usefulness of the L1 and R1 buttons.

The first time I played... I never attacked or cast magic... I summoned and summoned and summoned.... (you see where this is going?) Then I hit a snag at the castle....... no GFs....crap....Geez.. I was so crap then.... I did have all the Gfs though.... except alexander.. I forgot to epuip draw...
Ugh my first time around I was completely lost with all the terms on the menus. I believe I got the hang of junctions by the end of my first game, but every one of my party members had only one GF junctioned so I didn't have to "switch" junctions with party members like I do now.
The very, very first time I turned the game on, I had no GFs junctioned to Squall and Quistis, and only used the attack command. Pitiful! I just mashed X to win Bite Bug battles.

first time i played, i mustve missed the whole bit about being able to draw GF's from bosses... so i pretty much had like 4 of them by disc 3... i thought, something just aint right here. i went back over the tutorials, and was like, noooooo!!! so i started again...
worse thing happened second time round. i knew that i had to draw Alexander from Edea in disc 2, i told myself so many times, and then i forgot somehow, and saved over it... which was really annoying, cos then i couldnt get doomtrain until disc 4.
third time through i aced everything.
I'm on my first and cant find them T_TOh yeah I missed a load of GFs the first time round also. And yeah locating the White SeeDs was annoying. Such a pain.
