Fusoya doesn't give it to him, Zeroumos anounce the name change himself. Fusoya just said that to try and sound pimpin.

Zemus is the Lunarian villain who FuSoYa and Golbez defeat in the Lunar Subterrain. Zeromus is the manifestation of Zemus' hatred. I don't know why a giant bug would symbolize the ultimate hatred, which is why I prefer the "Mr. Death with a Sword" sprite in FFIV Japanese Eastype. I call Zeromus "zero-wuss" even if he's probably the hardest final boss I've fought in the FF series.
