Things I need?

Well... I'm about to enter Memoria now.
Cause I'm the 'unsure' type, I wanted to get some advice.

Are there any abilities (either action or support) that are absolutely needed?
I'm planning to enter with Zidane, Dagger, Vivi and Freya, is that a good idea, or do you all suggest to take another party? Well, even if I beat them with this party, I'm still gonna go for it with everybody I left behind...

Oh, another thing. I'm currently doing the Chocobo quest to get Ultima weapon. Is Ultima Weapon a must to take on all those bosses in Memoria? Or is 'The Tower' good enough?

This is the last question, I promis! What lv do you all recommend to take on Kuja, Necron and all the others?

One thing you should equip is Body Temp, cos there's a boss early on who uses Mustard Bomb, and it could wipe out your entire party (it's done it to me before ). Also equip Auto-Regan,Hp 10+20%,Locomotion,Antibody and Counter on the characters you can. On Zidane's ultimate weapon you don't really need it but get it you can anyway, you should have some powerful weapons for the others though, and good armour too. On Kuja and Necron you can beat them at level 45+, there not that hard, just make sure you've got Locomotion on against Necron. Hope that helps .

Body Temp, HP+20%, HP10%, Locomotion, Antibody, Jelly, Bright Eyes, Clear Headed, Auto-Regen and Auto-Potion. Some Ability you need.

You might want to change Dagger with Eiko, since she's powerful with healing, your white mage/summoner is to heal for the battle. If you're a big fun of Dagger, change Vivi for Eiko. If Freya can do 9999 damage with Dragon's Crest then have her, if not, it best to have Steiner change for Freya, Quina is useful here, I rather not talk about Amarant, Change Zidane for Freya if you need. My party is Zidane, Vivi, Eiko and Steiner.

Ultima Weapon isn't neccessary but kick-ass, it best to hold more stronger weapon.

Depends on your stat, strategy and knowledge about FFIX. You can beat them in level 1 somehow like someother try.

But Zidane's Ultimate Weapon....couldn't you only find that with your chocobo BEFORE you went to Terra? Or am i wrong? ('cause the treasure chest with the weapon was near Shimmering Island, so)

And the level you should be....well, AT LEAST level 40 should do it, i guess, but then those nasty status spells Necron do are a pain in the ass, still

It's after the islands have been destroyed.

I can't give any advice on the stuff before Necron, but for Necron I suggest all abilities to guard against status effects, and auto-regen.

I've beaten Necron with Zidane having The Orich-summat-summat, Steiner with Defender...that's all I remember. But no, the best weapons aren't neccesary, but they speed it up alot, and look cool

First question

Zidane-The Tower's more than enough unless you really want to get Ultima Weapon.I beat the game with Zidane equipped with an Orichalcon(the one bought in Terra).

Dagger-Eiko's better at healing,but if you like Dagger more,it's up to you.

Vivi-No problem,just equip Reflectx2 ability.

Freya-If your Dragon crest can do 9999 damage then use it.If not,go for Dragon breath and Cherry Blossom.

I strongly recommend Amarant for his Chakra skill that can heal your HP and MP.He acn attack and supprt at the same time so he's my best character in the game.DO NOT equip healer on him.It heals the enemy when you attack.My party is Zidane,Vivi,Eiko and Amarant.

Abilities-Anything that includes healing(eg. auto-regen),status immunities,increasing HP(for enduring) and MP(for magic) and some like the others told you.What's locomotion anyway?Never used it so I don't know,can anyone tell me?

Level-40+ should do the trick.Unless you'e confident of entering at 40- go ahaed.

The bosses really aren't that hard,except for tiamat(second boss) which drain your stats,which you will preferably counter with a fast battle.Maliris(first),keep your HP high AT ALL TIMES.Maliris attacks you after you kill him/her which deals quite a kick ass damage.Kraken(third),Don't care about the tentacles,kill the body and you win(if I'm not mistaken).Lich(fourth),try equipping auto float to counter his earthquake attack.As for death,just make sure that your character's level aren't multiples of 5.

Deathguise-Steal the Duel Claws from him if you don't have one.Then,just feed him his own arse.

Kuja-keep your HP high.That's all.

Well, changed my mind, after all. I take Steiner instead of Freya. Currently I'm just getting him learning all the abilities (action, that is) he can. I'm just leveling him up to 40+ a bit. But all the others (Zidane, Garnet and Vivi) are already around 45.

One note, any idea what kind of thingie teaches me Flare? Cause I never ran across it during the game. My strongest Black Magic now is Meteor... Guess that's good to, but Flare is much more awesome

And later, I'll do it all again with Amarant, Freya and Eiko.

The only thing you need is Locomotion, Body Temp, Clear-Headed, Antibody, and Loudmouth for fighitng Necron. If you have Flare, Curaga, Holy, and Pheonix, you should be fine. Auto-Haste, MP attack, and Auto-Life is also useful. I never used Auto-Regen, because Curaga is so godly HP recovery anyways.

The advantage of Amarant is when he Trances, Elan affects all allies, so imagine using Regen/Auto-Life on ALL characters at once, and then following that up with Chakra.

I used Zidane, Steiner, Amarant, Eiko, simply because I wanted to pound Kuja and Necron as fast as I could without having to actually heal or take time to do anything. I would have used Freya if Dragon's Crest did 9999 damage for me...

The Tower, whatever sword you have for Steiner, and Duel Claws for Amarant are good enough. Being 40+ should give you an easy time.

I normally go with Zidane, Steiner, Freya and Amarant. All with their best weapons (except Steiner, he gets second because I don't care about getting Ex2) and all at about lvl 80. With that I can beat Necron just by glaring at him . With Necron I tend to just wanna kick his ass to watch the brilliant ending.
