FFX Broken!?!?

Omg.. lol. I just finished getting the celestial weapons and tried going into Sin.. then I got on top of the roof of the airship, and then at the scene where Sin shakes the airship and yuna is kneeling.. everything stops. Well not everything, Yuna, Rikku and Wakka are still panting. The music is still looping, the airship propeller is still going.. but I've left it for like 2 hours and it still is going nowhere! What should I do... am I supposed to press something or something?

And if it were broken.. would it be the CD, my memory card or my PS2?

EDIT: Oh yeah.. the start button doesn't pause either..

it's probably the disc don't worry it's happened to me before on games you might need a new disc (buy a new game) or you might have to redo what you did to get to that part and see if it freezes again. if it does then you might have to replace the game sadly

Most likely, it's the disc.
Try cleaning it maybe.

yes there is i don't remember what it's called but if you go to a game store they might help you there. the disc cleaner might be $20 though -_-

It's the disc. Either clean it off with a non abrasive cloth, or get the cleaner. One of the game doctors is more defective than the other, so be wary.

Don't forget to make sure there's no dust on the tray.

You should clean it. And if it still gives you problems, get a new one

The swear filter catches things other than curse words. For example, you can't say Chuck N0rris on here or it gets changed to Raoul Duke.

I'm having the same problem as well, it's not entering Sin, I don't have problem with that, but I cannot enter Besaid, Baaj Temple and I cannot see the ending, after I beat Yu-Yevon, the screen flashes for a long time. I was thinking of beating Dark Valefor and catches 10 of every monster in Besaid but...... and I was also thinking of meeting Fayth of Anima but....... AND I was also thinking about seeing the sad ending again which I see from my friends data.

The reason why I highlighted the temple is because I cannot enter the temple not the pool.

I had difficulties in the end too. Just when they are supposed to enter Sin, during one of the cut-scenes, the disc stopped. I just let it be and after about half an hour (or somewhat less), it started running again.

some of my white magic won't work as fast as it should. sometimes i have to wait about 15 secs before it is used. i have has the game for over 1 year and have played is to excess for weeks so far.

I once had a problem where no file would load from the memory card, but I bought a new game and everything's fine. Although, it started out slow, but that was the result of dust. Now it's all right.
