I usually use >< as a 'palmface' type meaning. In general I perfer text, Im too lazy to go through graphical smilies and even lazier when it comes to learning the text code to display them.
Gif Emoticons are better.
Text Emoticons are better.
Both are equal.
I don't use emoticons.
