Yeah, but there shouldn't even be those rules. We are not doing much protecting by stopping people from hearing words like nigger, bitch, whore, and smurf.

They will hear the words regardless of what the whiney conservatives in Washington want.

No matter how much you and Sigmund Freud want it to be, 'mother' is not a curse word.

I don't think there are laws about it. Not sure, but it strikes me as a conflict with the 1st. If it's the radio station's own choice, whilst I disagree, they can make the choice.

Radio edits are becoming a thing of the past with the rise of satellite radio. I have Sirius myself and I love it. 100% ucensored content.

The FCC can and WILL sue stations that do not censor.

The time has come to crush the FCC and suck the marrow from their bones. There is a station I like in Michigan that does edit most songs. But for some choice of their own, or some oversight, they play the entire lyrics from 'Jeremy': "..harmless little smurf", 'So Whatcha Want': "..illest mothersmurfer from here to Gardina", and 'Man in the Box': "...shove my nose in <img src="/xxx.gif"><img src="/xxx.gif"><img src="/xxx.gif"><img src="/xxx.gif">", and "buried in my <img src="/xxx.gif"><img src="/xxx.gif"><img src="/xxx.gif"><img src="/xxx.gif">". It's so nice that the Imperial Storm Troopers at the FCC haven't found their hidden base yet.

The major one I can think of is that super-overplayed song song by James Blunt- "You're Beautiful". The edited version says "...she could see from my face that I was, flying high," when the actual version is "...she could see from my face that I was, f***ing high"

Kerrang radio doesn't edit so you can listen to Jesus of Suburbia in its entirerity with the swearing left in and no cutting. The gaps left when a song is censored is really disconcerting when you're trying to sing along.

This maybe a revival but I have to say this.

Rap music, now adays has so many swears in it. On the radio edits it sounds like they are stuttering!!!

Eminem's "Stan" (GREAT SONG!!) Is heavilly edited towards the end - and it's not swearing, it's to hide the fact that Stan (SPOILER)Died at the end of the song.

    It's like

"Shut up... (Edit) Hey That's My...(Edit) But I didn't Sl...(Edit) I Just... (Edit) Then...(Edit) Well Gotta go I'm almost (Edit)"

It then cuts to when Eminem get's the letters. It's a pathetic system...

You know what else is great?

When they take a Creed song, take the words "God damn" and edit out the "God" instead of the "damn".

Probably because the station was sponsored by Pepsi or something.
