I strongly doubt that. I don't think KH3 is going to be related to the current plotline in any significant manner. The only returning characters I can think of would be Disney ones, and right now I wouldn't be surprised if SE went solo on the next Kingdom Hearts title without Disney characters, though that would seem sacrilidgeous.

I think you're completely wrong. (SPOILER)Remember the ending? Not the secret ending, the ending. Sora and everyone got a message in a bottle from Mickey. You think he was just saying hi? That'd be a bit anti-climatic. I think the message in that bottle pertained to the people seen in the secret ending. But who knows...

If I'm not mistaken, Nomura explicitly stated that he wanted to deviate from the current Kingdom Hearts plotline. To me, that would imply a plot that doesn't include Sora, Riku, Kairi, etc. Besides, I don't think just (SPOILER)receiving a letter in a bottle means that there has to be another sequel. I'm not ruling it out. Certainly we could see something with Sora, Riku, and Kairi later on, but I'm not holding my breath.

I think he just wants to deviate from the whole Sora in search of his friends and the king aspect of the story, which he kind of has to now. The next one just probably won't be related to anything like that.

they killed him off to add a note of sadness to the game. although i thought axel was cool and i thought it was sad when he died it made the storyline better. a sad note in a storyline of anygame makes a game more interesting.
