Dragon Quest: Like or loathe?

I hate level grinding and gold farming, so I am not cool with Dragon Quest.

Bingo. That aside, if you get ded, you loose half gold, and get to try again - keeping all exp. So that is not bad. Adds a challenge. The game was rather bland to me - fun for a bit, but bland overall.

Because Square-Enix knows that trying to sell an RPG that's not Final Fantasy is financial suicide, and that people in the states whine when there isn't 50 hours of emo FMVs detailing the complicated and religious storyline in broken English. It's what I refer to as "It doesn't have Cloud in it" syndrome.
