Australia vs. New Zealand

Before Lord of the Rings (the movies) came about, I can tell you that a very large amount of people in the world thought the same things as Zeldy.

NZ isn't boring at all, by the way. At least in NZ, you can drive five hours in any direction and not still be in the exact same environment.

This week im going on holiday up north somewhere, its awesom in the countryside there, like BoB said, the terrain changes so rapidly, from bush to farmland, all sorts

Yeah, and you can in NZ as well. My point is that you can drive for five hours in Aussie and the environment won't change much at all.

So is England, but I assure you, England doesn't change that much no matter how far up and down the country you go. Even if you include Scotland and Wales. You don't know nothin' about variation until you get to NZ. It has all sorts of terrain, everything but a sandy desert (although there is a desert, it's just the dead kind rather than the sandy kind), in one small place. I could probably see all the kinds of terrain the UK has in about a tenth of NZ (probably even less). And the UK is bigger than NZ, too.

EDIT: Just looking around threads on other forums with this topic (eg), seems anyone who has been to both countries suggests seeing both, but most say NZ is better. 8-)

I've lived in Australia and I've lived in New Zealand. Any day I would rather live in New Zealand than Australia. Note that I would still return to Australia from time–to–time, if only for the girls.

Just because there's a New York doesn't mean "something happened to York". Same with pretty much any "New ____" location. Zealand is still Zealand.
