Getting video into a post...

I know the basic coding that you need for the video, but I don't know any place where I can host the video, then get the URL from it to put into the coding. One place I used didn't give me the proper URL, so the video didn't show up, and another place just plain out won't let me do it. Anyone know of some good sites?

putfile.com and webfilehost.com are ones I use. I don't think you can upload video here though.

I used putfile first, but it didn't show up when I posted it at some other forums I go to. I edited in the .wmv part, and it still didn't play. I'll try the second site you mentioned.

You can't put a video in a post unless their is a code turned on that allowes videos.

I'm aware of that. The place I'm trying to put the video has the code allowed.

And webfilehost.com won't let me host the file. Says the type isn't allowed. And the video is a .wmv file.

You can link to a place that will host it, but you can't put the video in your post. If you wanted to, you'd need the embed html command, which I'm pretty sure is blocked.

I host my vids on www.freevideoblog.com and its possible to embed the vids on other webpages. (Its under the 'share this vid' button)

embed is blocked here, you can only link to it if you do manage to find some site to put the video on

I'm surprised no-ones suggested youtube yet for this sort of thing though
