    Default Export/archive thread?

I thought that there was an option under "Thread Tools" to export/archive a thread on your hard drive. Does this option still exist? If so, how do I save a thread to my hard drive?

I know you can save a thread but I can't quite remember how. I think I just used Save As from the top menu (I use IE)

I think that just saves the current page though, and not the entire thread.

I remember something like that, I think it was one of BoB's hacks we installed a long time ago - dunno if it works with vB 3.5 or if there's a replacement

If you really really want a topic export, I can write a hack for vB3.5. It would need approval first though.

I'd rather you write a plugin to do it than a hack Much easier to disable if something goes wrong

    Either...

Add &pp=10000 to your thread's url (or whatever number of posts you'd like to display per page) before saving it using the standard Save As feature in most browsers

    Or...

Use the Archive linked to at the bottom right, which I believe shows 250 posts per page with no images to bother with.

That sounds like a much easier solution than messing around with plugins and hacks.

Yes, those are both excellent ideas. I'll do one of those. Thanks!
