i know it costs 60k at a Black Mage shop, but i still don't know where exactly to find it, and i need it to beat Tiamat

You don't really need it to beat Tiamat, you can use Bane.
Look for in open spot in the wall at the upper-right most corner of Lefein.

Same town, the different versions refer to various things by different names. Bane might be called Poison or something in Origins. I know it's called Scourge in DoS.

I believe that BRAK/Break also works on Tiamat.
but isn't Break an instant kill spell? (which there seems to be alot of in FFI)
Break petrifies, killing monsters, so what does it do to a boss like Tiamat?

You can find a sword in the sky tower called the Bane Sword (I don't know if it was renamed) that when used as an item kills Tiamat in one hit. It casts the Bane spell.

Ive kiled Tiamat with Poison/Scourge and Break...I was casting all sorts of lame spells for fun, and was utterly amazed that it worked
Also, before that, I remeber using the Bane Sword on Chaos......and it worked! I was laughing so hard, i coulndnt breath, it was just that funny, the final boss, insta-killed with a death spell! XDDDD
as silly as it is, i guess it's true.
and the Bane sword is now the Venom sword
likewise, the Bane spell is now Poison
