final fantasy 12 main character look like a girl?

I remember reading an E3 interview a long time ago where they asked Matsuno if Final Fantasy leads were becoming more feminine as time went on and he responded by saying something like only are they effeminite in the West and not other places so it's a cultural difference.

Anyway, I could find the link and prove it but I'm lazy so just assume I'm telling the truth or made the whole thing up.

Either way, Americans are just crazy with their manly images because society here is pretty warped in forcing you to like only certain things, such as boys can only like a certain kind of music and it's all rather limiting etc. etc. heyhey and all that.

Anyway, when you get older and grow out of your everythingphobia phase you'll look back and it won't even bother you. When I was I like 12 I thought Ramza looked like a fool and now I play FFT and appreciate the art style of it and really don't consider it much. Age has a way of making you all trippy... Now I'm only 20 now so I'm not trying to go arrogant old man on you all, but then again yeah I am.

Yeah, there's alot of bishounens (pretty boys) in Japanese animes/games/etc. It's really nothing too new. And it really won't effect gameplay or story at all, so...yeah. I really don't think any of the FF male protaganists look like women at all, nor are homosexual.

All I can hope is that the males become more lady-like until you can't tell the difference... For when we all look like the same Gender the world will finally be at peace. Here Here to Gender Indifference. Someday when Wal-Mart is Emporer of All we won't have to think for ourselves anymore, so it's cool.

hardly anyone cares. it makes barely any difference and besides on FFX-2 3 people the first time they saw paine they said "whos he?" but no one realy minds. i think all of the FF main cast are good and dont see anything wrong with their appearance.

I completely agree... Though except that part about Paine, I never thought she was as manly as others did. Anyone would look like a man next to super-girl Rikku.

We sure do have high expectations these days. Character models in games are all such hot people and all anyone can do is complain. I wonder how you would feel if they made a character model that looked just like you... Would others make fun of it :O
