Gary Moore and Stevie Ray top my lists, have for a long time.
Bow before the mighty Javoo!
Most of those stucked. There's a difference in metal and speed metal. Shoving as many notes in as fast as you can just doesn' t sound cool. The Motley Crue was good and the SRV too, though I prefer some of his other songs more. I couldn't get Crushed Hope's solo to work.

Ok, I found one even better than the first one I posted. This was actually the video I was looking for when I first posted.
The intro and ending have been cut a bit due to file size, but it's still got the important parts.
lol signature
watch some john petrucci...steve vai...joe satarani...angelo bastio(sp) all of them are amazing..
Roxas!
I found a great copy of Jimmy Pages white summer.
This is my favorite guitar solo of all time. just amazing. It's not speed metel so if you like speed metel you wont like this.
This was recorded in 1970 before every other video on this thread....He started it all.....thats why he is the best.

The people to create will always be remembered more than the people who copy.
Like if we made even better pyramids in egypt. The first Pyramids will always be the best.
but you can think what you want, you just can't use that logic to justify it.

Daniel Gildenlow is miles ahead of Page in both song writing and technique, and guess what he came years after him.
Toby Driver is miles ahead of near every guitarist in terms of everything, and only started a band a few years back.
Popularity does not equal talent and skill.
Nor does the influence a famous guitarist has.

That's just a video of him playing live. Black Sabbath's Paranoid also came out in 1970 and Iron Man had a real music video. This was recorded in 1970 before every other video on this thread....He started it all.....thats why he is the best.
