Default Placebo

Placebo just released their 5th album, Meds.
It's alright. Not as good as previous ones, but alright.

They've just finished touring it around Britain. I saw a show in Glasgow (at the Carling Academy). I'm not sure how to comment, because it was my first concert. It was amazing, but it was extra exciting for me, I guess.
They played well though. They did some songs from Meds, and then went onto the "nostalgic part of the show", after having done the "techinal difficulty" and "slagging off James Blunt" parts.
The new album was played like it is on the album, but the older one's were modified a little. I guess you do that after years. They said so- something about experimenting, even with your own old songs, every time. Really, they just slowed them all down. They did a cover of Kate Bush, and some other song I didn't recognise.

They talked a surprising amount. The bassist was halfnaked by the 3rd song, and did his lovely belly-dancing.
I was pretty close to the stage. I got creeped out by all the people touching me, people spilling beer on my head, all the noise and stuff, and when my mummy, my 'escort', beat a guy behind us to the floor.

But all in all, a good night was had... by all. Huzza!

"Meds" Is better than older Placebo albums. It is a better "album" rather then "having good singles". I missed them this year because of some exams but I aim to see them another time.

As for what happened, all concerts are like that. Get used to that.

Default nose bleed

Much as Without You I'm Nothing still has a place on my CD shelf I've completely lost interest in Placebo over the last few years. I haven't really been into anything they've done since the Black Market Music album, I saw the tour for that one... and thought they were sadly live. It was at the Brixton and the bass and guitar playing off each other that I just love on their albums simply didn't translate well to a live show. It was just loud. Impressive loud, but still just loud. Brian Molko has also become progressively less interesting.

Have you seen his new haircut?
I think that just about sums it up.

marc, knock it off. Comments such as that are not tolerated, and I won't repeat myself many more times.

spare me the irony.
'Shaun_Lawless' has to get an authority figure.

Lets leave it at that, no more arguing, just talking about Placebo, and if you don't like them then there really is no reason to post.

Anyways, I've never listened to Placebo before. Never really wanted to.
