Need advice

You can obtain quests by talking to the NPCs around town. Most of the quests involve you simply bringing them an item that they're looking for. Some get a little bit more elaborate than that, but not by much.

Just talk to the NPCs and they'll ask you to bring something to them, animal glue, a cornette, whatever.

I suggest talking to the S.O.B gang behind the warehouses in Port Wind cause they'll give you quests that reward you with some good stuff. Justice Badge and Blaze Spikes for example.

I suggest going and looking up some of the available quests on somepage, alla or MysteryTour and seeing which you can get and trying some.

Most of the easier quests you can get started on now. Some of the far more involved and interesting quests will require you to be much stronger.

These have pretty thorough walkthroughs (mostly stolen from other sites and pasted here) and lots of discussion about them by people doing them. Beware of lots of misinformation by people not really knowing what they are talking about though.

This is my favor for quest. Although there's no discussion and many of the quests might not have walkthroughs... any that DO have walkthroughs will be 95% accurate without a load of misinformation. Also if you want this will help you locate the quest starters and figure the quests out for yourself if you so choose.

I can't really give a direct link but go down to quests and then it will come out in a frame and scroll down and there will be separate links for all of the different parts of Windurst. This is probably the absolute most thorough quest guide for the game on the internet. Almost all quest will have very indepth walkthroughs and very accurate information. I've just never loved the format of MysteryTour and sometimes you have to get around reading the iffy translations.

I recently purchased this game for the Xbox 360. I'm a Level 2 Hume Monk whose allegiance is with Windurst. So I have a couple of questions....

1. What level should I be before I begin missions?

2. How do I purchase weapons and armor?(Stupid question I know, but Windurst is so big I can't find any shops)

3. Will I survive if I go to the areas beyond Windurst?

4. This question is actually for my little brother, who is an Elvaan Black Mage. How can he learn spells?

5. Can I purchase a map?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

1. i would say lvl 10 before doing mission 1

4. Each spell has a lvl in which it can be learned, he has to reach that certain lvl and then buy the scroll

5. theres a map vendor in windurst (on the docks in port windurst)

The map vendor is by the fountain at the center of Windurst Woods before the path that leads up to the AH, not at Port Windurst.
