I'd have to say Ogre Battle. Havn't played Disgaia though, I really want to.
*sigh* I had Disgaea before, now that its semi-rare to find, atleast around me, I don't have it anymore and regret selling itBut yeah, that was a great game, Final Fantasy tactics too of course.

EDIT - oops, Diablo isnt really a strategy game is it, Ill put Front mission 3 instead.

Most of those aren't strategy games, those are SRPGs (Though I'd contest that they're strategic at all; they concern the tactics of individual battles, not the strategies of overall wars.)
