Great idea: suddenly, without warning, cut off submissions when not everyone had finished when you had already said we had until 10 PM tonight. No wonder you "only had 16 submissions." Maybe next time you should actually let us know when we have to have submissions in by and you'll have more participation. Some people, like me, were busy this weekend (I was moving back from college for the suimmer) and was going to work on my entry today.
I'll put the voting on hold till 10 PM today. Anyway, until then, the contestants who have yet to submit a Pig can do so before then. And, while they do so, we will have a small vote on what we should do till 10 PM EST, continue with the voting, or cancel Round 2?
Apparently, I have been declared banished.
I think it would be fair on those who missed out to cancel Round 2, and several people seem quite annoyed about it.
Ah well, I bet you won't be doing that again.

Aw, Psy said it best. Who would have thought? Upsetting to have my pig end up of nil value, but it's hardly a fair round now.

Why don't we just close voting until all the pigs has been submitted? I bet a lot of people spent some time with their piggy.

Because the people (such as me) have already seen some of the entries.
Also, some people who NOW think that they can't submit might not see this if we change it mid-round AGAIN.
Does it really matter if you have seen some of them? I would guess a piggy isn't better than another piggy just because you saw one of them a few hours earlier.
Not to me, but it is unfair. "Oh, look at all the rest of the entries and now make yours." Plus, the point you ignored: that some people who haven't submitted and now think they can't might not submit one now, which isn't fair. Another point you ignored: it'd be ANOTHER change mid-round. Another point: some people who may have voted earlier might not vote again once they're all up.
We either need to keep it as is or just scratch the round and try again. Due to the controversy and the sudden changes, etc, it seems to me best to just scratch this round. Other people (some of whom did submit an entry) agree.
Meh, I'll go with whatever the majority wants. Anyway, your second point is not a point. It's just a second. As for your third point, the already submitted votes would be diregarded, naturally. I guess you MAY be right on the first point though.
We sacrifice hard work for the sake of people who couldn't get their entries in early. It's not like things were stopped on the Sunday, he did say Monday. Personally I think if we fold on this, it's going to turn into a shambles. I stay keep the round.
