Nah. My friends love that I'm an anime/video game geek... because it extends to me kicking ass at Tekken and Madden. They think it's funny because I don't look or act like one.

Playing video games and posting on a Final Fantasy board are just aspects of my life and personality, they don't define who I am. I am not just a "gamer" or a "photographer" or a "dancer". My interests range from everything between MMORPGs to cheerleading to watching Food Network for hours and hours.
I won't apologize or be ashamed of my interests and how I spend my time.
The only part of my life I actively try and hide is my personal relationship with my boyfriend and like Shlup, that's mostly information I don't disclose to my parents.
I use to be.
If I ever talked about games with my mates, it would be GTA or a Sports game. Never FF.
That's why I joined this Forum.
Now though I don't care.
I'll talk about Harvest Moon, Animal Crossing and any other I'm into.
I don't give awhat people think anymore.
I thinks its stupid to hide who you are. While I don't talk about varoius things with certain friends I don't hide the fact I like those things. They pretty much know it, its just they don't like it so we stick to our shared intrests. I can't say I'm ashamed of anything I've ever done. Albeit I'll admit I've done some pretty stupid things in my life, but I'm not ashamed. And as for Manus, we didn't need to here that.
I don't exactly go on about my playing video games and building with lego, but if anyone asks me about it, I admit that I like the stuff.
I'm not ashamed. Nobody even knows anything about my life anyway. Not one aspect. So, that doesn't even come into the question.
Only time I'm ashamed of my self, is if I do something I did wrong or stupid. SO I punish myself. Other than that I'm me and you can change that.
I am completely open about what I like, but I know I'm weird so I join in when people tell me I am. It's not bad to be different!
People make me feel ashamed of the bands I listen to and the things I love.
Same. But I try not to hide them, nonetheless.
