Terra was no more a female lead than Celes was, and Celes was no more a female lead than Rinoa or Yuna was. I don't really feel that Final Fantasy VI even had a main character. In my eyes, this will be the first time.
I disagree. I think FFVI did have a main character, but it had more than one. I, personally, consider Terra and Celes to be the most integral characters of that game and I would refer to them as the main characters of FFVI.
