Default How do SNES converters work?

Alright, we Europeans got dissed on LOTS of great SNES games, e.g. all the pre-FF7 FF games, Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG and so on. :rolleyes2
So now I'm gonna buy a converter, allowing me to play U.S. games on my Swedish console.
However, do you know about the technical details?
Do I have to solder and stuff, or do I just need to insert the converter somewhere?

    Just emulate them.

You put your cardridge in a thing, then the thing in your console. Simple as that. But yeah, just emulate it. If you want to be hardcore oldskool, get a usb controller converter for your PC, and plug your PC to your TV.
