Glenn's Big Scare!
This morning, Glenn was surfing around when he hit the Weather Network. unfortunately, over top of the screen, claws appeared to scrath open the screen, creating an "X" and then two red eyes appeared...and blinked too....he didn't indicate an ad coming up (Actually, I suggested it was, but the way he described it....it just couldn't have been) Anyone have any ideas what this was?

They have flash ads that appear over the page you're trying to browse these days. They're quite annoying, and there's usually a little itty bitty box that says CLOSE. Probably one of those. They only appear on major websites like ESPN and stuff too, so yeah.
A couple of years back, Yahoo!Movies had an ad for The Ring, which made that "closing well" image play in the middle of the screen, with accompanying sound effects. Mildly distracting, but otherwise meh.
My favourite newspaper's site plays ads for tonight's TV news, with video and sound clips. And a 'close' button that's hidden unless you have the window open to full size. Pain in the butt.

I always suspected the folks at the Weather Network were raising an army of demons.
Clearly this is the weather-map symbol for the apocalypse.
