Being an Animal Crossing freak, my wife was really happy when I got her Animal Crossing for the DS. While I was watching her play, I realized I was gonna have to pull her weeds on BOTH the gamecube and DS versions For those who have never played Animal Crossing, you will pull LOTS of weeds!

I'll probably just make the long distance call to my mom, and that's about it. If it were up to me presents wouldn't be involved in ANY holidays. The only thing good about christmas is that I get to see my family.

But you have to congratulate capitalism on generating ridiculous profits everytime somebody sticks some importance to some day of the year.

Yeah and what right do you have to say that? You dont know the family siuations with the people here. I got my mum bugger all cause she either gets me nothing for my birthday or Christmas, or buys me crap that was given to her or I dont even like.

Maybe that's what already happens? In my family we don't all go and buy each other stuff for every "holiday" that comes up. It doesn't make us selfish or mean that we don't care for each other. Mind your own business.

Mother's day is not comparable to a birthday! If my mother suggested Christmas was a marketing ploy I'd disregard all knowledge of her being my mother, let alone not buy her a mother's day present! "I'm not getting you any Christmas presents this year, because I believe that Jesus's birth was just created as a marketing ploy." Because of course in the days when the Bible was written, consumerism was booming! Guess how I know my birthday isn't a marketing ploy?.... Because.... I was actually born!
