Problem with disc 1. (FFVIII PC)

Hello, well this is is my first post, I just found this website a few days ago and have been looking around it. Well now iv run into a problem when I tried to play FFVIII for the PC. I installed it fine and went to click 'New Game' then it asks me to insert Disc 1 well I do and it says 'Caution Wrong Disc' iv tried every single disc in the package and none work.

Iv tried searching it on many sites and googleing it. Any thoughts?

Is the disc clean? Have you tried of restarting your computer or reinstalling the application?

Yes to both, I just bought it brand new.

There might be a patch to fix the problem, but I would recommend sending it back to where you purchased it, getting a new one, and if the problem persists, it might be your computer, but I'm not entirely sure.
