What do the chocobos actually use the Carob Nut for in the mating process?

An age old question. A good question, too. The answer lies not within the nut itself, but within the chocobos. For you see, a female chocobo does not have eggs, like most normal females. She has no way of being fertalized by the male Chocobo. Chocobo's do not actually mate, rather, the male fertalizes the shell of the carob nut, and then this is transferred to the mother chocobo's womb, where the process of life begins.
It's just an aphrodisiac.
Man, Zeio nut must be really powerful for making a Black Chocobo wanting to have sex with a lame yellow one.
Are you kidding me? You know how everyone treats Black Chocobos. It wasn't that long ago that there were seperate race tracks for yellow and black chocobos. The Black Chocobo is just happy to be getting some ass, let alone some from a yellow.
But it's a wonderful yellow one! Those wild things know how to get it on.Originally Posted by Levian

I think that a female chocobo will only mate with a male for such a great nut as a carob nut.
