There's conceptual and then there's conceptual. Albums like WYWH and Animals have certain pervasive themes throughout, but lack cohesion that an album like The Wall has. My favorite Concept album is The Wall. Although I do like The Lamb, it's rather weak in certain parts, and most people don't have a clue what Peter Gabriel was talking about.

Hounds of Love by Kate Bush. Only the second (longer) side is conceptual, though. It's about someone lost at sea.

Pink Floyd - 'The Wall', 'DarkSide of the Moon', 'Wish You Were Here' and 'Animals'. I think 'Division Bell' is counted as a concept album too so if thats the case then definatly that too

Here lies the correct answer to this topic.

Dark Side of the Moon and Foxtrot are also awesome.

Dio - Magica, he put alot of imagination and ideas into the album and summarized it all in a 15 minute audio book like story told by himself, and some pretty nifty background music effects. I like it when amazing albums are made but the band was drunk beyond imagination, it sucks when they all sober up and make it non out rageous but that is off topic......

No matter how much you and Sigmund Freud want it to be, 'mother' is not a curse word.
