    Default MTV Unplugged

I often find myself listening to one of my Unplugged albums these days, and I can honestly say that i like the whole "unplugged" thing, and the programs, that MTV came up with sometime in the 90's...

What is your opinion on MTV Unplugged? - and what is your favourite MTV Unplugged performance?

The initial idea behind MTV Unplugged was to make it as bare as possible. Meaning the artist and a guitar. But now, ARGH! It's done with an overblown band. Unplugged is the singer and his/ her guitar! Not the singer and his/ her entire band.

Favourite Unplugged performances: Björk and Sinéad O'Connor.

My favorite MTV unplugged sessions were Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam and Nirvana. Of course.

Yeah, Eric Clapton's performance was a nice one. I also liked Alicia Keys and Lauryn Hill very much.

Lauryn Hill's performance was outstanding, but Alicia Keys' was way too overwrought.

    Same here.
Their version of The Man Who Sold The World was awesome.

I've only seen the Nirvana one, and it was a little dull.
    Just for me, though.

Stevie Ray Vaughn's Unplugged was and is by far the best.

No matter how much you and Sigmund Freud want it to be, 'mother' is not a curse word.
