When main charaters team up

Locke, Cloud, Squall, Tidus, and Zidane would start a rock band in which Zidane would insist on being lead singer to pick up chicks. Bartz and Fighter/Warrior/Knight/Whatever would failingly attempt to be professional tag team wrestlers, and no one else would care.

IT wouldn't work because it didn't work Power Rangers. The entire ep was stupid and was just a big Tommy/Cole/Jason fest. Just like if the leads of the FFs teamed up, all the attention would be on Tidus and Cloud, possibly Squall.

Probably Cecil or Firion. Seeing as they're the only ones that act like leaders.

3. Use a lot of gil/GP.
4. Can't afford to buy better armor.
5. Enemy attack the party.
6. Fighter, Firion, Bartz fell down. OnionKid and Tidus cry and fell down, Cecil can't heal all of them and fell down. Zidane and Locke can't use stealing skill at this time, fell. Cloud and Squall goes EMO, fell down.
7. Game Over.

Remember they'd beat up the enemies 4 times faster too, so healing wouldn't always be required. Besides, All the aforementioned characters except Fighter/warrior and Zidane would be able to use white magic.

This is a new game, there's no materia, job-changing or such system.
Only Cecil can use White Magic but that is not enough either.
When you got low on gil/GP, how could you buy weapon?
Of course, they can't beat up strong monster 4 times faster!

While I'll agree on points 4, 5 and 6, I disagree on 1 2 and 3. One paladin has enough to heal a minor scratch, not maintain a whole party. Let's say you get hit with 5000 damage apiece. Cecil was never able to heal more than 400 HP casting Cura on one person in my game, so there goes the idea of having him heal. The amount of healing items you'd need to buy would be astronomical. This would lead to needing to spend longer gil farming to get new armor and weapons (especially since warriors have the most expensive equipment of all), and more fighting means more healing, which means more money toward healing items. Ouch...
