Aye there is a walkthrough with what to say, where, when and on which chapter. But there's an easier way...

Lose credits on their games and you get points!

On chapter 1, lose 20 credits and you get a point (I use sky slots cause it's quicker but any game will do). Chapter 2, lose 50 credits = 1 point, Chapter 3 you have 100 credits = 1 point, but Sky Slots goes much faster then cause you can bet more. No gaming allowed on Chapter 4 and on Chapter 5 you spend 200 credits per point.

I usually get 160- 200 points in random advertising cause I'm too lazy to fetch the walkthrough every time I met an NPC, then make up the rest in lost credits. It's so easy that I have even switched companies mid stream and ended up getting top level on both companies (hence getting both final games: monkey and fliers). You need more than 80,000 Gil though

There is a guide about Publicity Campaign and Marriage Campaign in GameFAQ. A well done FAQ.
It doesn't really matter which one you choose.
The guide is long! Here's you choice:

    1. Remember the entire FAQ. (if you can)
    2. Print the entire FAQ. (like me)
    3. Copy it in your notebook or paper. (like someone does)

Oh yeah, in GameFAQ, it is called PR Guide.

The only thing that really matters is what you can trade your credits for. Especially in Ch. 5, there are two garment grids that can only be obtained by getting one company or the other to level 5. Argent will give you the Flash of Steel option, and Open Air will give you the Disaster in Bloom option *cough*which sucks*cough*. They cost 200,000 credits a piece and appear as "??????" in the item list.

    Flash of Steel
    Equip: +20 Strength, +20 Magic
    Gates
    Yellow: +20 Strength
    Blue: +20 Strength
    Red: +20 Magic
    Green: +20 Magic

    Disaster in Bloom
    Equip: N/A
    Gates
    Yellow: Darktouch
    Blue: Silencetouch
    Red: Sleeptouch
    Green: Poisontouch
    Yellow, Blue, Red, Green: Stonetouch

So, you have the Flash of Steel, which if you pass through all the gates is better than wearing a Kaiser Knuckle and Crystal Ball, or you have the Disaster in Bloom, which you get so late in the game that most enemies are already immune to most if not all of those status ailments. Besides, it's not even -strike abilities, it's only -touch abilities.

    Both of it sucks.

I'm a magical person so I made a good choice of joining Argent, let me have those Flash of Steel!
