Maybe if you all stopped voting for Loony BoB and Psychotic and started voting for the true heroes like Peter_20 you wouldn't be so bored of the ol' faithful "oh look Towns won again" Ciddies. It's not their fault. Don't take it out on them.

I always did wonder what those things were like. They looked kinda ghetto. Anyway if i'm honest I think that Ciddie's should be once a year, halfway through the year is kinda killing it, but eh, it's up to Towns and the public I suppose.

If people are antsy about the Ciddies because the same old people win, although I like to interpret such grumbles as "I'm antsy because I don't win", then maybe the way to improve this is to have more awards, say, 75 or even 100. (And it would also stop the absolutely crazy idea of announcing them all one by one in a thread. In this case, he could do 5 at a time maybe) The EoFF community has grown substantially since the initial figure of 50 was reached. The more awards, then the more winners, and the more winners, the more people would care.
The main drawback with that would be that I doubt anyone would want to go through and fill in 100 nominations, as I think some people have problems with 50. And it would double the already insane workload of poor Award Guy.
Of course, BoB would never go for it. He's absolutely devoted to tradition, bless him. I'm not too keen on the idea myself, I just decided that it's my responsibility as the guy who is supposedly going to win 40 Ciddies (without even breaking a sweat!) to post some ideas for the future of the Ciddies.
The same people don't always win. I think we should bring back some of the post and thread-specific awards.
