If people are antsy about the Ciddies because the same old people win, although I like to interpret such grumbles as "I'm antsy because I don't win", then maybe the way to improve this is to have more awards, say, 75 or even 100. (And it would also stop the absolutely crazy idea of announcing them all one by one in a thread. In this case, he could do 5 at a time maybe) The EoFF community has grown substantially since the initial figure of 50 was reached. The more awards, then the more winners, and the more winners, the more people would care.

The main drawback with that would be that I doubt anyone would want to go through and fill in 100 nominations, as I think some people have problems with 50. And it would double the already insane workload of poor Award Guy.
