Default ff7 wont work.. need some help please

    hey everyone
i downloaded the demo for FF7 today
and i extracted all the files, and apparently there are no installation needed... so i clicked on "Cloud" the icon to launch the game, the screen turned black, and the configuration thing popped up, like i should since it was my first time launching the game, and after i configered the screensize and other stuff, the game wont run, the game window just disappears... (i played FF8 demo yesterday on the same computer and it worked just fine)

here's what my configuration thing said

    Graphics
    Display: Primary Display Driver
    Render using: Software Renderer
Display resolution: 320x240 16bpp (Full Screen)

    Sound
    Driver: Primary Sound Driver

    MIDI
    Driver: Crystal FM Synthesizer
    MIDI Data: General MIDI

    System Information
CPU type: 266 MHz Pentium II
    RAM: 128MB

Required 3D Features for Direct3D (under "Graphics" tab)
    Traingle Textures - Fail
    Flat-shaded Triangles - Fail
    Gouraud-shaded Triangles - Fail
Source Blend Mode 1 - Fail
Destination Blend mode 1 - Fail
    Source Alpha - Fail
Destination Inverse Src Alpha - Fail
    8-bit Paletted Texures - Pass
    (i have directx 8.0 or 8.1 or 8.something)
i know its a pretty dated laptop but the game should run
    and i have windows 2ooo
my display driver is NeoMagic MagicGraph128ZV/ZV+/XD driver...

    what should i do?
    i should download 3d accelerator?
if so, where can i download the latest version for free?

thanks for all you help in advance!

It looks as if many of the features needed by the game are not supported by your graphics card. That could be the problem; the only solutions would be upgrading your computer or trying the game on a different machine.

    http://www.epsxe.com/
Oh, and if you want information about the best configuration for it...

is a thread posted not to long ago about good ePSXe configurations for FF7.

You might have trouble finding an iso of FF7 and PS bios (a PS bios is a file that ePSXe isn't legally allowed to use in their emulator so you have to find elsewhere). If you fileshare you should be able to find them though.

Buy the remake version. It should work although I was told Tifa's boobs are smaller in that. They make it up with Barret's sexy chest though.

Not to mention, like, fifteen sewer levels. That's value for money.
