I don't know what happened with Zidane but apparently no one likes Italy anymore. I don't understand why Zidane did what he did and I think that was pretty <img src="/xxx.gif"><img src="/xxx.gif"><img src="/xxx.gif"><img src="/xxx.gif">ty.

I'm simply astounded that the crowd boos Italy everytime they touch the ball now. I can only imagine the scene that could arise when Italy hoists the trophy only to be booed and shat on by everyone in the stadium.

Yeah, this will be a crappy PK shootout. France has nothing, Italy has nothing. It may well be Italy simply because their goalkeeper is better.

He headbutted one of the Italian players - after a lot of arguing he was finally sent off. It was the right decision though, was moment of madness from Zidane.

It doesn't make sense.

In any case, Zidane can thank himself for his team bowing out in the Finals rather ungracefully. Trezeguet too, for that matter. Congrats to Italy for hanging in there despite being fatigued as hell. Once again, they show us that flashy playmakers are secondary, and all that matters is your back four.

It's kind of sad to lose the WC and be undeafeated. Ahwell. 2nd place is still pretty nice given that everyone thought Spain would kick us out, and after our complete failure in 2002.
