He's allowed to play in the final, if he's selected to play is another thing.

FIFA's ULTIMATE SQUAD (TM!!!!!) of World Cup 2006

Goalkeepers: Gianluigi Buffon (Italy), Jens Lehmann (Germany), Ricardo (Portugal).

Defenders: Roberto Ayala (Argentina), John Terry (England), Lilian Thuram (France), Philipp Lahm (Germany), Fabio Cannavaro (Italy), Gianluca Zambrotta (Italy), Ricardo Carvalho (Portugal).

Midfielders: Ze Roberto (Brazil), Patrick Vieira (France), Zinedine Zidane (France), Michael Ballack (Germany), Andrea Pirlo (Italy), Gennaro Gattuso (Italy), Luis Figo (Portugal), Maniche (Portugal).

Strikers: Hernan Crespo (Argentina), Thierry Henry (France), Miroslav Klose (Germany), Francesco Totti (Italy), Luca Toni (Italy).

Ayala? Terry? Thuram? Ze Roberto? Toni?

Where's Marquez or Zinha? No place for Valencia? What about Robben or Van Persie? Surely Owen Hargreaves and Joe Cole have made a greater impact than Ze Roberto? Riquelme, Cambiasso and Maxi Rodriguez didn't impress you, FIFA? Why no Essien, or Muntari? Lukas Podolski, anyone? Even the likes of Srna, Kalinichenko, Edwards and Cahill have made the World Cup more memorable than some of this lot. Heck, even Ronaldo is more worthy than Toni, Crespo or Henry.

    And what about Fernando Meira?

That's the most pathetic Ultimate Squad ever. It's all semifinalists with a couple of quarterfinalists thrown in so people won't bitch about how it's just semifinalists.

Henry!? Wtf? The guy probably set the all-time record of offsides in a single WC, he was sleeping in half of his games! And where is Cech? He was so good that the Ghanian (sp) players were afraid of him!

So have FIFA picked a manager of the tournament?
I'm surprised Fernando Torres isn't there either

Yeah, that's a sucky ultimate squad. It's probably based on the same stats system that gave Frank Lampard more points than Steven Gerrard throughout the tournament. In fact, I'm surprised Frank's not in it, considering how bad these things usually are.

Anyway, as far as tonight's match goes, I'm hoping for a German goal-riot of some sort. They're deserve third place much more than Portugal.

Bloodyhell. You would of thought Ronaldo would learnt his lesson by now. But no, he's still an idiotic diver. He's pathetic.

I give him a 10 for the dive and 10 for the ref not falling for it.

Well at least it gives us something to talk about from that abysmal first half of this utterly pointless game.

And this vilification of Ronaldo has long gone part the absurd, he's no worse then a lot of players at this World Cup, he's not the Cheating Bogeyman for god's sake. People would not be picking on him especially now if he hadn't tangled with Messiah Rooney himself.

    >>> I like C. Ronaldo. In the first half he did some pretty neat move, but it ended in a pass for Klose..

    >>> And Germany scores :mog:

    >>> Oops!, Petit scores for Germany now..

Yes he would because he hasn't stopped doing it. It has increase since the Rooney bit, but that just shows everyone knows what he's like now. It's his own fault.

    2-0 own goal haha, shame...
