Well, both, really. Since the last part is a continuations of the one at the beginning of the game.

I thought the part that plays at the end of the game happens, in terms of the play's chronology, before the events in the beginning, considering the play in the beginning has both Marcus and Princess Cornelia die.

I suppose you're right. But, it's still the same play. xD

It is a good play, which we got to see more of it.

It's actually based on a play by Shakespeare, I'll try to figure out which one, unless someone knows it.

I wonder if someone would suggest this play as his/her school play?

I didn't really like the play itself, but I do like the title 'I Want To Be Your Canary'. I liked the music used in the play, especially 'Bittersweet Romance'.

I LOVED "I Want to be Your Canary"! I thought it was an utterly inspired way to open and end the game. For a start, I loved the fact that there was a play called "I Want to be Your Canary". How random and brilliant is that!?! And yet, in retrospect, it's not so random: as Garnet is a "caged canary" at the beginning of the game, who longs for freedom - with all the symbolism of her sadly watching the birds fly away from the castle (happens again at Lindblum castle)....

The play was obviously based on Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet". The playwright's name, "Lord Avon", is another obvious reference to Shakespeare - who was born in Stratford-Upon-Avon.

I also loved the fact the Kuja, the well-read and literate villain, oft quoted from the play. Especially his use of the word "canary" as an endearment when talking to Garnet.

And yes, the existence of "I Want to be Your Crow" is funny, too! I wonder if there's an "I Want to be Your Partridge"....

All in all, the play delighted me.

LOL! "I Want to be Your Canary".... *shakes head* Only in a Final Fantasy!

If it had a full script I definitely would.

As for the play, I love it. Especially the name of the play.
