Brand New - Okay I Believe You, But My Tommy Gun Don't

This is one of my favourite songs ever. I can't really explain it better than that.

Jimmy Eat World - 23

This song is so emotional for me, it makes me cry sometimes. It reminds me of a lot of things in my life.

Dresden Dolls - Girl Anachronism

This song hooked me to The Dresden Dolls, my favourite band. It has so much passion and energy in it, it's crazy.

Gregory and the Hawk - Boats and Birds

It's so beautiful and emotional. It's very peaceful too. The singer's voice and the guitar make me feel calm.

Tori Amos - Lust

It's one of the weirdest yet most beautiful sounding songs I've ever heard. It's so eerie.

My top list is somewhat predictable.
The Rasmus - Chill I really like this song, and not just because Lauri gasps right at the beginning but its really easy listening.

The Rasmus - Back In The Picture Im not even that keen on this song, but as it begins with 'B' its at the beginning of my Rasmus playlist and I always click the first Rasmus song and carry on from there. Its an alright song, nothing really special about it - It does have a nice rhythm to it though. *listens*

The Rasmus - Dancer In The Dark Ah! One from the new album. I love the new album, its a whole new sound. They sound so professional and alot different to the Rasmus that released In The Shadows, as a magazine review put it - "The Rasmus are like a sponge, they've absorbed musical talent over the years and now they rid of the bad stuff so your left with a brilliant combination"

The Rasmus - Dead Promises Again from the new album, on my first time listening to that album this was one of the songs I fell in love with first. With Lauri's voice over the Guitar cutting the silence ♥ Apocalyptica play Cello's in the Chorus of this song creating a flawless sound. Lauri sounds gorgeous as always *swoon*

The Rasmus - Guilty Ive always had a soft spot for this song. Its amazing. I can't fault it. I love the way Lauri sings one bit, and then he sorta whispers/sings in the backround. Its so creepy. Lauri says "This song is basically about treating people like and feeling bad about it"

I have no idea. I have over 30GB worth of music on my computer; I try to listen to all of them, and not just the same songs over and over. That's boring.

At the moment:

Dionne Warwick - Alfie

I've been listening to this song a millions times during the last month. I love it. It's definitely one of the best songs Bacharach ever wrote.

Grace Jones - La Vie en Rose

My all-time favourite Grace Jones tune. Grace took her rendition to the Top Ten in 1977, and it's been a staple in her concerts ever since. Amazing vocal performance! Weird and very mysterious.

Toys Soundtrack - Closing of the Year

The best Christmas song ever recorded. It was included in the 1992 movie "Toys" starring Robin Williams. The song is very mysterious, but it does manage to lift the Spirit of Christmas.

Dionne Warwick - Do You Know the Way to San José?

Another one of my favourite songs! Dionne's voice is silky smooth, and she did take it to the Top Ten in 1968. Classic song.

Grace Jones - Slave to the Rhythm

I don't even have the words to describe this song with.

The Mars Volta - Roulette Dares (This Is The Haunt Of)
Well, this is one of the first songs I heard from them, and it's definetly one of the best. The chorus is awesome, and the lyrics are so imaginative and crazy. The guitar section towards the end rocks to say the least.

Kaada & Mike Patton - Aubade
An 11 minute masterpiece. Patton's eerie humming and wails in this are incredible, and all the different layers of instruments make up a very somber, yet incredible song.

Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Sleep
This is one of the most emotional songs you'll probably ever hear, and is definetly one of the bands best. Funny, because to me music without vocals portrays so much more than music with. This song is proof of that.

Mr. Bungle - Retrovertigo
Undoubtedly Bungle's most conventional song, but also one of their best. Patton's vocals in this are incredible, he really shows why many consider him the best singer in rock. The build-up in this song is impressive to say the least.

Explosions In The Sky - Yasmin The Light
My favorite Explosions song. The melody in this song is very soothing, til the whole thing erupts into this "explosion" of guitars and drums. Simply instrumental post-rock at it's finest.

You win.

Anyway, the only music I have on my computer is my assorted anime/video game music, the rest I just buy on CDs because classical music is dirt cheap and absolutely wonderful. So, here's mine. I'm taking from the 25 Most Played list, although they're not necessarily my favorites.

Kaze no Machi he by FictionJUNCTION KEIKO, 96 97 play count: OK, so while these ones on my list aren't necessarily my favorite, I love this song to death. It's from Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles, and is sung by Oruha in the world of Otou. It's an absolutely beautiful song, and I'm probably at least mildly obsessed with it.

My Pace Daioh by manzo, 85 play count: This one amuses me. While I do love the song and it comes from Genshiken, one of my favorite series, it's made it's way on this list pretty much by accident. I've had it for awhile and listened to it several times. Later on, I got the opening theme to Kujibiki Unbalance, which just amuses me greatly, and listened to it a lot. Because of where this is in the Genshiken playlist, I would invariably listen to this song as well, putting it up in the ratings. It actually passed Kaze no Machi he once, something I had to correct immediately.

Houki Boshi by Younha, 78 play count: This song makes me happy. Very happy. Very very happy. It's a fun song, and I loved the fact that when it was aired on Bleach, they made 13 individual ending sequences for it, one for each of the 13 Divisions of the Gotei 13. It's a great song and it usually cheers me up.

Hagane no Kokoro by Paku Romi, Togoyuchi Megumi and Kumigaya Rie, 73 play count: This is a fun song, with the voice actors of Ed, Al, and Winry from Full Metal Alchemist singing. While I enjoy this song immensely, I really think that some of the effect is ruined by Kumigaya Rie and Paku Romi sounding extremely feminine and womanly. It kind of dispels the illusion of Ed and Al singing the song.

Ichirin no Hana by HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR, 72 play count: I'm surprised that this is on there, but at this point a lot of it becomes the choices of how my iPod shuffles when I listen to its playlist while on my computer. I waited a long time to get the PV rip of this song, and I do rather enjoy it but there are other songs that I have that I like much more.

Taken from my Last.fm list:

1. The Mad Capsule Markets - W.O.R.L.D - 1072 plays
Because it's my favourite song of all time and I love it. It just sounds so perfect in my ears.

2. Souls of Mischief - 93 'til Infinity - 440
Doesn't really count because the bulk of that is from about 5 days where I just spammed it to hell, but a good song nonetheless.

3. ケツメイシ - Tomodachi - 421

I really, really love this song. The string and piano melody just makes me happy on the inside and the flow of the lyrics is really nice.

4. The Mad Capsule Markets - Kumo - 318
It's played a lot because it's a nice atmospheric chilled out song and I play it at night a lot.

5. The Mad Capsule Markets - Norumaaru Raifu - 226
Awesome bassline on this song, it makes me air bass and groove heavily.

83: Ayumi Hamasaki - Evolution (Time is pop)
72: The Darkness - I believe in a thing called love
68: The Darkness - One way ticket
67: The Darkness - Hazel Eyes
66: The Darkness - Love is only a feeling

Dunno why One way ticket is that hihg up, probably because it's the first track on the album. Furthermore, Love is only a feeling is that high up because it comes after I believe in a thing called love.
Dinner Lady Arms and Knockers by the same band should have been up there instead of one of those two.
That Ayumi thing is on top because it fits when I feel hyper, which I often do.
Note that I haven't used the Winamp media Library more than half a year, and I've had this laptop for nearly one and a half years. Because of that, the list only reflects what I've been listening to the last 6 months.

1. Gorillaz- Fire Coming Out Of The Monkey's Head

...I'm not even going to try to explain why thats at the top of the list...

2. Nirvana- Man Who Sold The World

I'm a huge fan of Nirvana and David Bowie, though I personally feel that Kurt Cobain did a better version of this song.

3. Flogging Molly- Youth(My Sweet Roisin Dubh)

First Flogging Molly song I ever heard. Great song.

4. David Bowie- Ashes to Ashes

A bit of a haunting song, which simply adds to how wonderful it is.

5. Red Hot Chili Peppers- By The Way

Don't know what it is about this song, I just really like it.

Those are actually my five favorite bands, just in a different order. The real order would be Nirvana, RHCP, Gorillaz, David Bowie, and Flogging Molly... Bit of diversity there, wouldn't you say?
