    Default Emulator problems

Whenever I try to use the Snes9x on my computer, the ROM keeps working really slowly and freezing up. It does this every few seconds and takes about a minute to get through it. Any ideas what to do? Its been getting worse and worse and now its unplayable.

    Hm...

First, what game are you playing?

Second, are you using the latest version of the emulator?

It happens for both FFIV and V. I think it may be patch related but I downloaded the emulator very recently so I think its the latest version.

you used a patch for it? Why? is it a J2E translation patch you used? because if so, you may have not done it right they are complicated to do correctly. There are already translated / not patched versions of these games. If you want them pm me.
    I'll figure it out later...

It was a J2E translation patch. The emulator complains when I open them. The system is a Dell Dimension desktop bought new only a few months ago. It's a Windows XP OS.
