Awards for certain members based on a category that bears the Ciddie's name. The point is simply that they are here to recognize the most distinguished members... within the last six months.
E.g., the "Best spammer" award, awards the winnner with the title for being the person with the best spam within the last six months. It is best explained as a local tradition, to show who is who on the boards. Apparently, people know who I am.

Yes, exactly. The only difference is that the Ciddies are better, determined by a public, democratic vote, and are have teh sexeh head of AG on them. We couldn't use BoB's head, because apparently, that's been considered pr0n by Kawaii and he will ban you. Almost as quickly as he was banned for April Fool's.
The ciddie statue actually has the head of Cid on it. He is the man that created this site back in 1999.
