    Wow, something really awkward just happened to me. Someone bought a beehive chip I put on the vendor for 20,000 gil instead of the recommended 1000. Does this happen often? This is a LOT of money to a n00b like me...it brought me up to 50,000 gil. I've never had more than 10,000

    It happens occassionally the other way around for me. I accidently bid more than I should. Very rarely the person contacts me and asks me if I'd like the gil back and I just tell them to keep it. I've never overbid by more than around 10k so it's not a big deal.
