I love Sydney, the perfect mix of suburbia and the CBD. It's terrible that you can't see the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge from that pic so....HERE
I haven't really been to enough places to appreciate other skylines. But Guangzhou from the plane window was pretty sweet. It's like China's Las Vegas. So flashy.
Neither have I. In fact, I've never been to a proper city. It's true. Just tiny ones that suck. I want to go to one. Wait, I'm going to one in August!Originally Posted by RSL
KL's is pretty damn cool. I can see the Twin Towers and the KL Tower and any place with lots of towers makes for a nice skyline. Towers. TOWERS!
Tampa's is small but pretty I think. And the Skyway bridge is awesome...
Auckland, of course. I havent actually looked up what the whole skyline is though.
*posts photos of Auckland*
A low quality typical shot of Auckland
A shot of Auckland I took from the top of the Sky Tower
Another shot from the Sky Tower
Shot 3
Shot 4
Shot 5..that one looks out over the residential areas and stuff, and that black bit is the glass
Generic housing stuff, looked out upon from the Sky Tower once more
Back to the city again
I can actually see where my house is located in this shot B)
A very poor night time shot taken from...somewhere
What can I say? Auckland is my city, and my city it shall stay
Manila is such a great town. Dirty, but great.
I love Hong Kongs- when you are up on the Peak looking down on the city it's like nothing you've ever seen.
I'm not atchally a fan of New Yorks, when I was there it didn't seem that impressive. Mind you, I was staying a bit off from Time Square and I couldn't see much in the way of skyline.
I do like Londons financial district, but it cant compare with other cities.
I spent a lot of time last week downloading city skylines to use as wallpaper for my desktop. For me an ideal skyline would obviously have to be taken by a professional photographer. It would need to include a river of some sort, skyscrapers and most of it's world famous landmarks. Best of all it would have to be night time
...Geddit?
Gotta go with the hometown vote. Calgary Cuty, as seen from Erlton hill. i'll post a pic one of these days.
Many thanks Christmas!
