Ok, I have an AVI file that I need to take certain scenes out of and put into a power point presentation. I'm not looking to do anything fancy with it, so I need a very simple, very easy to use video editing program. Any help?

If you have XP pro, you should have windows movie maker. Look into it, I think you may be able to download it for free. It sucks, but as you said, you have no expectations (though I think it will still let you down, lol)

All I want is to take a certain scene out of the movie. I'll give the evil XP movie maker a go. Any other suggestions?
Virtual Dub?
Virtualdub is okay. Might not be the simplest program around though.

I only know how to use it to take screenshots and rip audio
