    Default Computer Cleaning Freeware?

I am looking for a program that will clean my computer (crappy, unused files, and the like). I'm starting to become worried, because I only have about 10 GB of 33 GB left on my laptop, and I swear I have more than that... can anyone help?

Open the Start Menu and select Run, and run:
    cleanmgr /d c:

Make sure the "temporary files" and "temporary internet files" boxes are checked, and press OK. It may take a little while but it should free up some hard drive space.

    Thanks! I'll try that now.

Update: Recovered like, 3 GB. I still swear I have more than that... any other suggestions?

If you are running Windows XP, you can decrease the amount of space windows can use for system restore points.

Right-click on "My Computer" and select "properties" from the drop-down menu.
On the window that comes up, there should be a "System Restore" tab.
On that tab, you can click your C: in the list and press the "Settings" button.
Drag the slider to somthing lower than the default of 12%. (It won't let you go lower than 2%)

You can turn system restore off, if you're desperate.

It let me go to 1% ^_^. Well thanks guys for all your help.

Sorry for the double post, but I have another problem.

I have 504 MB of RAM. My laptop runs fine, but when I open up a game, It lags like every 3 minutes, and its a pain in the ass. I'm not sure if this is because of the RAM, but I think 504 is pretty decent to run some simple games. What else could be causing this?

It could depend on the game and possibly your internet/wifi connection (assuming you are playing online games of some sort).

500MB of ram may not be sufficient for some of the newer games out these days.

Well, I play Gametap, and I'm playing any simple little old 90's game on it. It still lags... and my Wifi connection is pretty good, I guess.

Their server could have a lot of traffic on it.
