to be a poet means to have exquisite balance,
    and masterful poise,
    to pretend
    to totter,
    to teeter,
    and elicit gasps of awe
to be a poet takes an extreme talent

In a startling upset, Marick D. Pauper has beat out the usual favorite for the award, Eestlinc, whose poetry has been absent.

Contesting with greats like Nikotine and Necronopticus is no small task. coming in at one vote lead against finalist Necronopticus, Marick D. Pauper proposed the upset in this years Best Poet Ciddy.

"I feel so honored that the community of Eyeson understands good work. I'd just like to say congratulations to all the nominations and for you, I've wrote a little modest something.

    Winner

    i win
    you lost
    go home
    read Frost."

congratulations myself. Now, back to the Ciddies.

I'm Marick D. Pauper with the EoFF World Post, you stay classy Eyeson.

Well, well, well, we finally got to the Best Writer Ciddie eh? Well, by the time you're done reading this, you'll probably be wishing whoever wins this Ciddie had wrote this presentation speech. Anyway, we have six illustrious masters of the written word in the running for this Ciddie. These people have perfected their prose and always remember to check their spelling (usually). Here’s a glimpse at why they’re here.

    Behold the Void
Winner of this Ciddie last year, and the only returning nominee from the Winter ’05 Ciddies (RSL doesn’t count). He's well known as a resident expert in writing fiction, with things like the Grand Tournaments and his various RP’s . His most recent work was a look at how a fight between Sora (Kingdom Hearts) and Cloud (Final Fantasy VII) would play out. Behold the Void was also instrumental in the creation of the Role-Playing sub forum.

    Dignified Pauper
Marick has been a busy man since the close of the last Ciddies. He has written at least thirteen poems in these short six months, all of which are leagues better than anything this poor presenter could do in a year. His adventurous subject matter and unique spacing create a surreal experience while reading poems such as more garbage or Fruit of Knowledge . He also created a thread with specific tips for aspiring poets. His most recent work his entitled The Midwest .

    nik0tine
Another poet who's taken up residence at EoFF, nik0tine takes his work in a different then our last nominee. His poems feature a shorter length and can center on anything from funny old men to the composer Bach . nik is also composes pieces of music he then posts here, such as The Organ Dreams and Music for the Harp . His most recent work is a Waltz in D flat .

    Ouch!
A surprise nominee, considering he only has one piece of work to use, Ouch! is nonetheless a great writer and worthy of this Ciddie. After a year and a half of silence, he came out and showed of several Short Stories for the readers of EoFF. Hopefully his next piece of writing will not be so far away, as EoFF, could definitely go for more of his work.

    Reine
Reine lives in his own little world, known as Final Fantasy Advanced. Luckily for us, he decided to share some of this world with us, putting his writing skills to use. His first chronicled the main villain's backstory in Andreil's Story . The next two pieces were more informative based, giving us insight on the magic and overall universe of the world of FFA. Hopefully he will continue to show us more of this intriguing world.

    Strider
Our final nominee is another aficionado of large spanning stories. Between his Site Staff stuff, Strider has worked on and off on his story entitled The Branded . Hopefully we will ultimately see what happens with Darrien and Castil, but until then we can always read the second incantation of it, or perhaps Millennium .

There you have it. Each of these nominees has shown themselves to be not only skilled with the written word, but also willing to accept constructive criticism and advice on improvements. However, unfortunately, only one of these skilled writers can hold the Ciddie for the Best Writer of EoFF. How is it you ask? Well Award Guy, why don't you let them know?
